Times:

Tuesdays:  Registration and sight-in from 5:15 to 5:45 PM.  Pistol Cartridge Match begins at 6:00 PM.
Saturdays:  Registration and sight-in from 8:00 to 8:45 AM.  Rifle Cartridge Match begins at 9:00 AM.  Pistol Cartridge Match begins at the completion of the Rifle Cartridge Match.

Rifle Cartridge Course of Fire:

40 Round Aggregate, shooting at full sized targets:

10 Chickens:          50 meters
10 Pigs:                 100 meters
10 Turkeys:            150 meters
10 Rams:               200 yards

Pistol Cartridge Course of Fire:

40 Round Aggregate, shooting at half sized targets:

10 Chickens:          40 meters
10 Pigs:                 50 meters
10 Turkeys:            75 meters
10 Rams:               100 meters

Equipment:

Rifle Cartridge 3.1.3 (a):  Any lever action center fire rifle 25 caliber or larger with a tubular magazine of original manufacture or replica thereof.  A rimmed case loaded with a round or flat nosed bullet must be used.  Exception:  35 Remington is allowed.  Any bullet that damages the targets will be disallowed.
Pistol Cartridge 3.1.3 (b):  Any lever action center fire rifle with a tublar magazine.  A rimmed pistol cartridge loaded with a flat nosed bullet must be used, i.e., 25-20, 32-20, 38’s, 357 magnum, 38-40’s, 44-40, 45 Colt, 45 Long Colt, .22 magnum, .22 long rifle.  Any bullet that damages the targets will be disallowed.

Fees:

$10.00.  New silhouette shooters purchasing their first NRA Silhouette Classification book will have their match fee waived.  2009 NRA Classification books are required and will be available for $12.00.

Classification:

NRA Cowboy Lever Action Silhouette classifications will be used, consisting of Master, AAA, AA, A, and B.  First time shooters are unclassified.  If there are 5 or more unclassified shooters, there will be an unclassified class.  Otherwise, unclassified shooters will compete in the highest available class.

Awards:

Awards will be made to the overall match winner.  Awards will be made to top competitors within each class, dependent on the number of entries within each class.  If there are fewer than four competitors in a class, they will be combined with the next higher class.  5-in-a-row and 10-in-a-row pins will be awarded.

General Information:

All firing points are covered.  We will set 10 targets for each animal and will run 4 shooters on the line for each relay.  Restroom facilities and a soda machine are located in the clubhouse.  No food is available, so bring your own lunch!

From New Jersey Turnpike:

NJ turnpike to Exit 7A.  Take I-195 East 10 miles to Exit 16B onto RTE 537 East.  Go through a few traffic lights until RTE 571 (gas stations on corners).  Make right onto RTE 571.  Go 4.5 miles to first traffic light (Cassville Tavern on left corner).  Make right onto RTE 528 (Veterans Highway).  Go 1.75 miles and make left onto Stump Tavern Road (a sharp left hand turn).  Go .75 miles and make right at driveway with yellow sign:  "Central Jersey Rifle & Pistol Club."

From Southbound Garden State Parkway:

Get off GSP Exit 123 onto RTE 9 South.  Go 10 miles until you are near traffic lights right before Freehold Raceway and Raceway Park Mall.  Stay in right lane and look for sign and Exit "W. Broadway, Freehold."  Then exit up the ramp to traffic light.  Make right onto RTE 537 West.  Go 8.5 miles to a traffic light at RTE 571 (gas stations on corners).  Make right onto RTE 571.  Go 4.5 miles to first traffic light (Cassville Tavern on left corner).  Make right onto RTE 528 (Veterans Highway).  Go 1.75 miles and make left onto Stump Tavern Road (a sharp left hand turn).  Go .75 miles and make right at driveway with yellow sign:  "Central Jersey Rifle & Pistol Club."

From Northbound Garden State Parkway:

Get off GSP Exit 83 onto RTE 9 North.  Go 1 mile to 1st traffic light (Texaco & Mobil gas stations on corners).  Turn left onto RTE 571.  Go 10 miles to Stump Tavern Road (Food Mart on corner).  Turn on an angled left onto Stump Tavern Goad and go 2.2 miles.  Make left at driveway with yellow sign:  "Central Jersey Rifle & Pistol Club."
